You can achieve any goal you want in life.
The first step is to be crystal clear about what you want to achieve...
Often, people will say I know what I want! “I want more money, better relationships, a bigger house,
a better car" etc..
These are all well and good to have and you can but these are all the end goals.
What will it make you feel like when you have more money and how much more money is enough?
Iron out the details you want.
Clarity comes first from reflection and then from action. If you start taking action without being clear
about what you want you take a lot of action and still feel like you aren't moving toward what you want.
How do you get clearer with your goals?
You sit and reflect on the What, When, Why, and How you'll take action toward your goals.
Make it a habit to reflect as often as you need.
Of course, you have to also put in the corresponding work but that's for later.
For now, start getting clarity on your goals.
Sit down with a paper and pen with no distractions.
On the paper write down what you want to achieve- List it all down
Decide when you’ll work on this goal. Define a time that makes sense to you and where you are in life.
(This is not by when you want to achieve this goal, instead, it is defining clearly when you'll be actively working on this goal)
Write down why you want to achieve this goal. Answer this question at least 3-5 times
What do you want to feel when you achieve this goal: write down the name of the emotion you want to feel: Secure, independent, free, healthier, joyful, peaceful, etc.
How will you move toward this goal? On the top of your mind,d you'll know what you'll need to do to
achieve your goals. Write it down- the skills you'll need to learn, the steps you'll need to put in 2-3 things is great. This will serve as a starting place to get started.
Look at what you've written down and visit this daily, several times if you need.
Doing this reflection exercise daily/ weekly will help you gain more clarity with your goals
Remember, it’s not that you don’t already know this insight, now it’s a matter of internalizing it in your life.
