I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard people say that they will take a break soon, may be over weekends or on a vacation.
My pet peeve with this kind of self-care is your life is happening right now, not 5 days from now, not when you’re on a vacation. But here and now.
Self-care is not about taking care of yourself once a week or only on holidays. If you’re not making self care a daily practice you’re missing out on life!
Self-care is not just relaxing, eating well, and doing things you enjoy doing once in a while but every single day!
Now the most common pushback to this could be, where’s the time?
That promotion you’re chasing, or the money you want tocearn or any other life experience you want to have will mean nothing if you don’t take care of yourself.
Of course how you want to take care of yourself and have a self-care routine is up to you entirely.
When you actively take care of yourself you’ll not just feel good but you’ll be able to work more effectively on any other goal in your life.
